1895 Grand Opening
On January 8, 1895, Peoples Trust and Savings Bank opened its doors on the south side of the town square in Boonville, Indiana with just $33,000.00 in capital.

1931 The Great Depression
During the Great Depression, while many lost all their savings through bank failures, Peoples was the only bank in town to remain open for the entire period.

PTSB 1941-1964
By 1941, Peoples had reached $1.5 million in deposits and had modernized its original location inside and out. This original location would be the home of the Bank until 1964.

1961 Motor Bank
Peoples Bank was one of the first in the region to open a motor bank facility to better serve its customers.

1964 Headquarters
In 1964, the Bank expanded its operations to a newly constructed headquarters at the corner of Third and Locust.

1995 100 Year Anniversary
In celebration of the Bank’s 100-year anniversary, construction of the first Habitat for Humanity home in Boonville was funded by Peoples Bank.

2000 Paradise Branch
In 2000, the Bank opened its first new branch in Newburgh, Indiana. This branch was modeled after the Augusta National clubhouse and would win best new architecture and landscaping awards.

2004 Downtown Branch
Our third location opened in 2004 in downtown Newburgh on State Street. This branch serves as the only bank in the downtown area.

Today 125 Year Anniversary
As we look back on the past 125 years, we have seen much growth within the Bank and our community overall. We look forward to the next 125 years and to serving our community.
